English idiom: Bit off more than I could chew. 2 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 3
This week I accepted a lot of teaching work and English related projects. I wonder if I will be able to do them all!!!!???
Perhaps I have bitten off more than I can chew?

What does the English idiom bitten off more than I can chew mean?

It means that "I accepted jobs or things more than I can handle or more than I can take".
I hope I can be right on the money!

English idiom: I had my hands full 2 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 3
As you know, this week I accepted a lot of work this week. I taught extra English lessons, accepted extra proofreading work, and did a few audio recording jobs, etc.
As it turns out, I finished all my work with no problems!
So I can say, "I didn't bite off more than I could chew!"
I definitely had my hands full though! One night, I only got 2 hours sleep

If you have your hands are full are you
> (1) Weak
> (2) Strong
> (3) Very very busy
> (4) Crazy

What does as it turns out mean?

When was the last time that you had your hands full?

I hope you enjoyed today's English idioms

If I have my hands full, I am (3)very very busy.

"As it turns out" means "like it appears". (←not quite...)

The last time I had my hands full was about a month ago. I was really really busy at work. I had to find useful sources for materials I needed at work on daily basis. But now I am really busy killing time! Hehehe.

Correct! That is a good example sentence

"As it turns out" means "like it appears". (←not quite...)
You are on the right track. It gives us the result or conclusion of something (usually different to what we expected). It is a little difficult to explain, so I will give another example.

We thought it was going to rain, but as it turned out the day was sunny!
