A few months ago I went to the zoo.
The zoo’s name was
Asa Zoo. Asa zoo is in Hiroshima prefecture (Japan).
Before the trip I asked for some information at a tourist information booth.
Me Excuse me, could you tell me how to get to Asa zoo?
Staff Sure. There are 3 different ways.
One way is to catch the
Asahigaoka (あさひが丘) bus from platform 9 at Hiroshima station (広島駅).
Another way is to take the
monorail on the
Astram line towards Koiki koen mae station (広域公園前駅) then get off at Kamiyasu station (上安駅). After that go to Doubutsu-Koen Asahigaoka bus station and catch the Asahigaoka bus the rest of the way to the zoo.
The third way is to go there by car. Take route 54 from the city and then turn north near Kamiyasu Station.
Me Ok thanks. I don’t have a car, so I think I will take the bus.
Staff Do you have any other questions?
Me Yes, I was wondering if you could tell me when the Zoo is open?
Staff The zoo is open from 9am to 430pm, but admission is only until 4pm. On Thursdays the zoo is closed.
Me How much does it cost?
Staff The zoo costs 500yen for adults and 170 yen for children. Discounts are available for groups of 30 people or more.
Me OK thanks a lot for your help.
Staff You’re welcome. Have a nice day.
Me Thanks, you too!
After visiting the tourist information booth I decided to catch the bus to the zoo (I decided to go to the zoo by bus). I got on the bus near Yokogawa station in Hiroshima city. From there it took about 40minutes to get to the zoo.
